Cat Skiing & Boarding in BC, Canada

Deep Powder Cat Skiing, Valhalla Mountains, BC

Steep, deep and affordable - the way cat skiing was meant to be.

If you're looking for big mountain snowcat skiing and boarding then look no further.  Valhalla Powdercats invites you to come and be professionally guided through epic terrain nestled deep in the heart of the legendary Valhalla Mountains, British Columbia.  Our tenure is six times the size of Whistler and Blackcomb combined, offering skiers and riders a diverse and engaging mix of terrain.  That translates to acres of high alpine bowls,  steep, old-growth forests, and untracked deep Kootenay powder all day long!

It's all about the skiing and boarding experience
We cater to strong skiers and riders who come to experience simply some of the most outstanding snow Mother Nature has to offer.   At Valhalla our goal is exciting backcountry winter adventure and we are looking for keen, energetic people to share our passion for cat skiing and snowboarding in these stunning mountains of ours.

Tons of Snow - Nice Temps!

We receive over 12m or 40ft of snowfall per year with an average temperature of -8 Celsius or 25 Fahrenheit.   By the time we get the coastal storms in our mountains the snow has lost considerable moisture.  This accounts for our incredibly dry fluffy legendary powder commonly referred to as 'cold smoke'.

Big variety of trips to choose from!

We off all types of trips at very competitive prices.  Single day trips, multi-day trips, cat skiing and heli-skiing combination packages, with a taste of local ski hills or steaming hot outdoor hot springs.  Please take a look at our new 2009-2010 prices!   Check out our Kootenay Sampler packages with snowcat, helicopter skiing with Snowwater Heli Skiing, a timber frame mountain lodge and local ski hill combined!

Easy to get to!
We are located near Nelson BC in Southern British Columbia, between the incredible ski areas of Nelson's Whitewater Ski Resort and Red Resort in Rossland.
We are a 3.5 hour drive north of Spokane, WA.
